We regularly handle large libraries of rare & antique books. Due to the nature (and weight) of this particular subject area, our specialist book valuer usually visits the collection and spends some time establishing a rough valuation, finding the rarest and most valuable works before allocating storage space at our premises & arranging collection by carrier before detailed cataloging and research begins.

Book cataloguing is different than most other departments, there is a very specific style as well as buyers often requiring a manual page count of each book to ensure all pages are present and often the condition of them too. We are confident in our ability to catalogue rare & antique libraries and single books alike and are passionate about the rehoming of these important works.
